The Royal Flight costs 650 € per person. It is the only balloon flight over Marrakech where you fly seated at a table rather than standing. Breakfast is served to you in the air by a steward. Every other flight in Marrakech — ours included — puts you standing in a basket and feeds you on the ground afterwards. This one does neither.

What makes it different
You are seated
A conventional balloon basket has no seats. You stand for the whole flight, holding the padded rim, and you get out by climbing over the side. The Royal basket is fitted with a table and seating, which changes the experience in two ways: the flight is comfortable for a full hour, and it is accessible to people who cannot stand that long or climb easily. If someone in your party has been ruled out of ballooning on those grounds, this is the flight to ask us about.
Breakfast happens in the sky
On every other flight, including our Classic and Private flights, breakfast is served under a caidal tent after you land. On the Royal Flight a steward serves it on board while you are still in the air, at the table, at sunrise. The catering is prepared the same morning by Bacha Coffee.
There is a steward on board
Your pilot flies. A steward handles the service. That is the arrangement that makes a seated breakfast at altitude possible, and it is not something any other operator in Marrakech offers.
How the morning runs
Pickup
A luxury private car collects you at your hotel or riad in Marrakech, before first light. Give us the riad name when you book.
Tea and inflation
Moroccan tea and refreshments at the base while your crew prepares. The envelope comes out, the fans fill it with cold air, the burners bring it upright. It takes a while and it is worth watching.
Briefing and take-off
Your pilot briefs you before take-off. Then you lift, at daybreak — balloons fly at dawn because that is when the air is stable, a safety requirement rather than an aesthetic one, as we explain in why Marrakech balloon flights fly at sunrise.
An hour in the air, with breakfast
The flight runs high first, for the panorama across the plain, the Jbilet mountains to the north and the High Atlas on the southern horizon. Then lower, over the douars and farms waking up below. Breakfast is served at the table during the flight.
Landing and certificate
A 4×4 chase vehicle follows you and collects you where you land. Your flight certificate is presented with your first name in Arabic, and your car takes you back to your hotel.

Who books the Royal Flight
Proposals. A seated table at sunrise, a steward, and nobody else in the basket. Tell us in advance and the crew will plan the moment with you rather than around you.
Milestone anniversaries and honeymoons. The flight most people describe afterwards as the thing they remember from the trip.
Corporate and incentive events. A private, seated, catered flight is a different proposition from a group ride, and it holds up as the centrepiece of a programme. Send us your dates and numbers.

Is it worth 150 € more than the Private Flight?
An honest answer: if what you want is a balloon to yourselves, the Private Flight at 500 € already gives you that, and the view from the sky is the same view.
The 150 € buys the seated table, the steward, and breakfast eaten at altitude instead of on the ground. That is a different kind of morning rather than a better version of the same one. People book it for the occasions where the setting matters as much as the flight — and for guests who physically cannot do the standing version.

What happens if the weather cancels the flight?
Balloons do not fly in strong wind or rain, and the decision is taken on the morning by the pilot. A cancelled flight is moved to another morning, so book early in your stay rather than on your last day.
