Private Hot Air Balloon Flight in Marrakech — 500 € per Person
The Private Flight costs 500 € per person. It gives you a balloon to yourselves: your own basket, your own pilot and your own ground crew. The price includes a private VIP car from your hotel, 40 to 60 minutes in the air over the plains north of Marrakech, a Berber breakfast under a caidal tent after landing, and a flight certificate with your name in Arabic.
Everything that happens on the Classic Flight happens here too. What changes is that nobody else is in it with you.

What 330 € more actually buys you
This is the question worth answering honestly, because the flight path is the same and the balloon is the same size of experience. Four things change.
The basket is yours
A shared basket holds several groups of strangers. That is fine for most people and it is why the Classic Flight exists. It is not fine if you are about to propose, if you want to talk without an audience, or if you want photographs with nobody else’s elbow in them. On a private flight there is one group in the basket: yours.
The pilot flies for you
On a shared flight the pilot serves everyone’s morning. On a private flight the pilot is yours — which means you can ask for more time low over the villages, or more time high for the panorama, and the answer depends on the wind rather than on the other passengers.
The car is private
No shared van, no collecting four other riads across the medina before you reach the base. A private VIP car comes for you and takes you back. The return leg changes too: after breakfast you leave when you are done, rather than waiting for the last group to finish their tea.
The morning runs on your clock
A shared departure waits for the slowest pickup: if one riad in the medina is hard to find in the dark, everyone waits. On a private flight the car leaves from your door and goes straight to the base. In summer, when pickup falls around 5 a.m., those twenty minutes come out of your night.
How the morning runs
Pickup
Your private car collects you at your hotel or riad in Marrakech, early, before first light. Give us the riad name when you book — the medina is hard to navigate and our drivers know it.
Tea and inflation
Moroccan mint tea at the base while your crew works. The balloon comes out of the bag, cold air goes in, the burners lift the envelope upright. Watching your own balloon being built in front of you is a different feeling from watching someone else’s.
Briefing and flight
Your pilot briefs you in the basket: how to stand, where to hold, what happens on landing. Then you lift.
The flight runs in two halves. High first, for the panorama over the whole region — the plain, the Jbilet mountains to the north, the High Atlas on the southern horizon. Then low, drifting over douars waking up, over farms and livestock. Balloons fly at dawn because that is when the air is stable, which is a safety rule before it is a photography choice; we explain the aerology in why Marrakech balloon flights fly at sunrise.
Landing and breakfast
A 4×4 chase vehicle follows you across the plain and collects you where you land. Breakfast is served under a caidal tent, prepared by the women of the douar of Oulad El Garn. Your certificate is handed over there, with your first name in Arabic, and your car takes you back.

Proposals, anniversaries and company events
These are the three reasons people call us about a private balloon, and they are the three the shared basket cannot serve.
If you are proposing, tell us when you book — our guide to planning a balloon proposal in Marrakech covers when in the flight to do it. We will not announce anything, we will not put a banner on the basket unless you ask, and your pilot will know to give you the quiet stretch of the flight without being told twice in front of your partner.
If it is an anniversary or a birthday, the same applies — say so and we plan the morning around it.
If it is a company event or an incentive, a private balloon gives you a schedule you control and a group that stays together. Message us with your numbers and dates and we will come back with a plan.

How our price compares
Private balloon flights over Marrakech are sold on the big booking platforms from around 390 €, and by other local operators at various points above that. Comparing them on the headline figure alone is misleading: what differs is the transport, whether breakfast is included, whether the basket is genuinely private, and what the platform’s service fee adds at checkout.
We publish our price with everything in it and we sell direct, which is why there is no booking fee on top. The full market breakdown is in what a hot air balloon ride in Marrakech really costs.
Frequently asked questions
How much is a private hot air balloon in Marrakech?
500 € per person, all inclusive: private car, private balloon, dedicated pilot and crew, breakfast and certificate. The seated Royal Flight is 650 €.
Is the balloon really private?
Yes. Your group is the only group in the basket, with a pilot and a ground crew assigned to you.
How many people can come?
Tell us your group size when you message us and we will confirm what we can put in the air that morning.
How long is the flight?
Forty to sixty minutes in the air, depending on the weather. The whole morning runs about four to five hours from pickup to drop-off.
Can I propose during the flight?
Yes, and people do. Tell us in advance so the crew knows and nothing gets spoiled by an announcement at the wrong moment.
What if the weather cancels the flight?
Balloons do not fly in strong wind or rain, and the call is made on the morning itself by the pilot. A cancelled flight moves to another morning, so book early in your stay rather than on your last day.
Do we stand or sit?
You stand, as in any conventional balloon basket. The Royal Flight is the one where you are seated at a table.
Is breakfast included?
Yes — the Berber breakfast under the caidal tent after landing, the same as on the Classic Flight. Breakfast served in the air, on board, is the Royal Flight.
